Teaching and Learning with Digital Media: Event Information for June 2019
With the question "Digitization Practices and Higher Education - are we on the right track?" deals with the topic special on e-teaching.org, which is still until the end of June running. Several online events will take place as part of this themed special. This is how it goes in the online event on June 4th to the question "Are digital media revolutionizing higher education?" In a dispute with Stefanie Brunner (University of Vechta) and Peter England (Carl Ossietzky University of Oldenburg), the most diverse aspects of the digitization of higher education are to be discussed in relation to their revolutionary character.
At the end of the online event series, on June 13th hosted an online panel discussion at which Prof. Dr. Marianne Merkt (Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences) and Prof. Dr. Michael Kerres (University of Duisburg-Essen) will be a guest. The focus of the discussion is the question of how Shaping higher education in the digital age so that universities can do justice to their social tasks.
The topic special is also linked to a two-day conference at the Leibniz Institute for Knowledge Media (IWM) in Tübingen. From June 27-28 should the topic be deepened again. The event is organized as part of the "Smart Teaching Baden-Württemberg" project funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art (MWK) in cooperation with e-teaching.org.
At the June 3rd the network digital university teaching in Saxony-Anhalt offers a webinar on the topic "Social Media in German Classes" at. Sarah Stumpf (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) will be the guest speaker. All interested parties can take part in the online event free of charge.
The forum for new media in teaching Austria (fnma) regularly organizes fnma talks. The next lecture will take place as an e-didactics lecture on June 12 under the motto "E-exams in large courses" instead of. Participants can watch the broadcast for free and, after the 15-minute talk, discuss the topic with the speakers for another 45 minutes.

As part of the lecture series "Digital Literacy" at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Antje Michel on 20th June on the question "Digital through studies - what do students need" as well as the changed requirements of the university landscape in the age of digitization.
Under the topic "DFNconf vs. Adobe Connect" discuss Sebastian Liebscher and Frank Schulze from VCC TU Dresden in a webinar on June 26thwhich platform is well suited for which application scenario. At the end of the Adobe Connect DACH User Group Research & Teaching event, the participants should be able to decide for themselves how best to integrate the offers in their online communication in the future. The international conference "Media & Learning 2019" will take place this year in Leuven, Belgium. Under the motto "Video in Higher Education" should from June 5th to 6th the latest developments in the field of video-based teaching can be found out and discussed.
The Koblenz e-learning days will be organized this year together with the DINI future workshop. The event deals from June 13-14 on the topic "Agile teaching and learning formats" and takes into account the potential, but also the limits of agility as a design principle for educational offers
