No pick-up for the garden container

Even the Cybertruck did not look like it was from this world when it was presented in 2019. Tesla speaks of an "impenetrable, impact and shock-resistant exoskeleton" that is more robust than any other body and immune to dents and rust should be. Electric car with a range of up to 800 kilometers

It is a matter of honor for Tesla that the Cybertruck is powered purely electrically. That it comes with immense power as well. Three engines are planned: The basic version gets rear-wheel drive and an electric motor and should sprint to 100 km / h in around 6.5 seconds. Range: 400 kilometers. With two motors and all-wheel drive ("Dual Motor AWD") a range of 480 kilometers is provided and an acceleration of 4.5 seconds to 100 km / h.

The the largest expansion stage has three engines ("Tri Motor AWD"), 800 kilometers range and sprints to 100 km / h in under three seconds. It should have a trailer load of more than six tons. Sounds pretty utopian for an electric car at the moment - but Musk has always stood up to doubters.

Six seats, air suspension, high payload

The Cybertruck also has no lack of normal everyday qualities. Thanks to adaptive air suspension, the chassis can be lowered to make it easier to load the pick-up. There are altogether six seats: three in the first and three in the second row. Up to 1.5 tons payload, the cargo space can be completely closed with a sturdy cover. The interior has a very reduced design, as in the Model 3 there is only a large touchscreen on the dashboard. It is 17 inches tall and should have a completely new user interface.

Market launch and prices

From the end of 2021, Tesla wants to use the production of the Cybertruck and deliver it in 2022. Whether it is actually offered in Europe remains questionable, even if potential buyers can already make a down payment for it.

One price Tesla doesn't name it yet. According to media reports, prices in the US for the single-engine version are expected to start at just under $ 40,000, while the largest expansion stage with three engines will cost almost $ 70,000. It is also possible that it is for the "old world" a smaller version there - which meets all local requirements for crash safety. You never know.
