Why is magenta not common

Magenta supports customers in April with free data volume and additional TV channels

Vienna (OTS) -

  • An additional 10 GB of data volume for the smartphone for free in April
  • Permanently double cell phone data volume for MagentaEINS customers
  • TV app, additional TV channels and Sky Cinema at no additional cost
  • Magenta networks have sufficient capacity and run stably despite peak loads

In times of the Corona crisis, telephony and internet usage reach record levels. Families and friends increasingly want to stay in touch, colleagues hold video conferences with one another or with customers, pupils and teachers meet in the virtual classroom. Significantly more video streaming is consumed during the day, not just in the evening, as was common before. Magenta Telekom fulfills its responsibility to provide the necessary infrastructure every day and to maintain it despite peak loads. In addition to maintaining the network infrastructure, this includes daily contact with customers in the telephone service, in shops, via WhatsApp and also at technician appointments in the customer's living area.

Magenta Telekom supports its customers in this extraordinary time to stay connected at home. The #bleibverbunden campaign launched for this purpose will be expanded to include new digital goodies from today, April 1, 2020:

10 GB data volume free, double data for MagentaEINS customers

For the month of April, all contract customers will receive 10 gigabytes of data volume for their smartphone for free. So that you are online when it matters. To activate, customers will automatically receive an SMS from Magenta in the next few days.

Regardless of the Corona crisis, private customers have been able to permanently double the data volume in Magenta mobile phone tariffs with the regular MagentaEINS loyalty program since the beginning of March, even with SIM-only and former tele.ring tariffs. The prerequisite is Magenta Internet in the same household.

TV app, additional TV channels and Sky Cinema at no additional cost

The Magenta TV app is now available to all Magenta Internet customers free of charge and without commitment for the next three months. It includes more than 100 TV channels for the whole family, at any time and on all devices, many of them in HD and with a 7-day replay function. Android and iOS smartphones and tablets, FireTV stick, Android TV, Apple TV and web browsers are supported. Customers can find information on registering for the TV app campaign on a specially set up Magenta website.

Existing TV customers with the TV S and TV M packages will receive up to 17 additional channels in April that are not normally included in their package, such as children's channels, documentary channels and feature film channels. The additional channels are activated automatically. Magenta internet customers also benefit from this as part of the currently free TV app campaign.

The children's channels Baby TV, Cartoon Network HD, Disney Channel, Fix & Foxi and RiC will be activated. The documentary channels are Discovery HD, Animal Planet HD, National Geographic HD, Planet HD, National Geographic Wild HD, DMAX, N24 doku and RTL Living HD.
