in Pune

© Goethe-Institut The Goethe-Institut Pune offers German teachers the opportunity for their own further education. We regularly organize advanced training seminars and workshops for DaF teachers at schools, colleges and universities in Maharashtra (Pune, Phaltan, Sangli, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Dervan and Devrukh), Madhya Pradesh (Indore) and Goa.
.

German Teaching Learning (DLL) puts the lesson in the center of attention.

The continuing education series of the Goethe-Institut was specially developed for teachers of German as a Foreign Language (DaF) and German as a Second Language (DaZ). DLL is used for the practical qualification of these teachers worldwide - be it in primary, secondary or adult education.

The Goethe Institutes in South Asia offer the modular course units of the DLL advanced training program as a "hop-on, hop-off" model. 90% of the courses take place online and are supervised and accompanied by experienced tutors. Face-to-face seminars, chat hours and a practical exploration project (PEP) are also integral components.

In cooperation with the Fernuniversität Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the University of Vienna, the Goethe-Institut, Max Mueller Bhavan has developed the diploma course "Diploma in Teaching German as a Foreign Language" (DTG).

The diploma course "Teaching German as a Foreign Language" is the first German teacher qualification for the secondary level in India.

The qualification consists of a total of four modules with different thematic focuses. In modules 1-3, the focus is on didactics and methodology in an intercultural context, working with large groups, cultural studies and teaching German grammar and vocabulary. After this thematic input, the students will complete a teaching internship in the fourth and last module in order to gain practical teaching experience.

Despite the distance learning format, students have the opportunity to interact personally. The so-called "presence phases" are an essential part of the diploma course, because they offer students the opportunity to speak German, to form learner groups, to exchange experiences with each other and with tutors and finally to form a network of future German teachers.

German teachers meet once a month for specialist advice or for a mini advanced training course called “Stammtisch”. This round table enables teachers to exchange ideas on various subject-related didactic topics related to German lessons, to get to know the latest techniques or tendencies in GFL didactics, and to provide information about our current and upcoming events and projects.
